Scope of this project called for extension to the existing play space to provide an accessible sensory garden and play for children with special needs.

The design includes a mix of off-the-shelf products and bespoke items. Custom designed sound sculptures complement the natural qualities of the space, while remaining sensitive to the needs of nearby residents. I designed and sketched custom furniture that is to be carved out from timber by a chainsaw artist, custom pavements, mosaics and decorated rocks to be constructed by a mosaic specialist, and a custom “dragonfly”
iron gate as an entry feature.

I collaborated with Council when selecting play equipment and an ornamental and sensory planting palette that Council can maintain, to help ensure best long term result.
